Leslie Conery

Laurie Conzemius
12/11/12, 1:20 PM-2:10 PM
Lake Superior A

Join ISTE board member Laurie Conzemius and ISTE strategist Leslie Conery as we share the technologies, challenges, and professional development strategies people are talking about across the nation. We’ll bring the inside scoop on how people are using technology to improve student learning - including the tools, applications, and strategies that are all the buzz – and then share examples of how these trends are playing out in Minnesota. This interactive session will allow you to network, view ISTE's insight for the future, and weigh in on the changes occurring regionally and throughout the country.

This document describes four major trends discussed at ISTE's Leadership Forum, October 2012.

Out of Print - One of our attendees asked about the trend toward using digital textbooks. Out of Print is a report addressing this trend.

The annual K-12 Horizon Report, created by New Media Consortium in collaboration with ISTE and CoSN is an excellent trend-watching tool.

Apples report on Challenge Based Learning does a great job of describing what CBL is and why it has the potential to engage students in meaningful, curriculum based learning.
