"Every day we all should do three things: laugh, think and cry from happiness or joy. Just think about it..If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day.”

This session highlights an effective intervention to reduce the achievement gap in literacy: Take My Teacher Home. You'll laugh at how simple and effective it is, think about how it might work for your students and cry with joy at the results. This project began as a Kindergarten literacy initiative, and the concept was successfully extended and adapted later to first grade, high school science, world language, and ELL classrooms. It was also adopted in many other districts, with similar results.
