Using FlexBooks¨ Digital Textbooks and Open Source Tools

This session will discuss integrating technology into the classroom through the use of open educational resources, digital textbooks, and tablet use. Gregg will also introduce participants to CK-12 Foundation's free, open source STEM content. Participants will learn how to create a custom FlexBook¨ digital textbook, including editing content, adding multimedia and sharing the digital textbook online and on e-reader devices. Case studies showing successful implementation of technology in the classroom will also be presented. By the end of the session, all participants will have the necessary knowledge and tools to start purposefully using technology in their schools and classrooms!
